Empowering Filipino Workers Through Time

Overseas Placement Association of the Philippines (OPAP) was established with a clear mission — to promote responsible overseas employment and to safeguard the welfare of Filipino workers seeking opportunities abroad.

BRIEF HISTORY

he Overseas Placement Association of the Philippines (OPAP) was born on March 17, 1977.

Design.

It started as an informal group, with a mission of resisting the move of government then to phase out the “private fee-charging” employment agencies, as provided for in the Labor Code of the Philippines when this was enacted in 1974.
